A heartwarming interior scene in watercolour, showing a young girl sitting on a stool in front of the kitchen stove, working with great concentration on her needlework as her grandma sits behind her, watching her work with a gentle smile. The artist has signed indistinctly (possibly H. Bow) to the lower right which is hidden under the mount. The painting is handsomely presented in a gilt frame with lozenge detailed molding, mount and glazing. On wove.
